God’s sense of humor is just so fun and awesome, isn’t it? So, no wonder , I thought yesterday, that sometimes funny things happen in ministry as well…
I am sure all of you have been in a situation when something you have listened to was supposed to be very serious stuff, but it turned out to be a big laughter :0) Well, yesterday we went to see the “Passion of Christ” play in Harlingen, Tx. It was performed by pople from one of the Assembly of God’ churches, a bylingual church ( English & Spanish )
They have started out the play with Palm Sunday, when Jesus on a donkey was supposed to go to Jerusalem:-) Well,as you see on this picture,the donkey yes indeed was there, but had other plans…. These were the words of the narrator when the donkey decided to take the other turn than the one was “leading to Jerusalem”. Of course everyone bursted out laughing…. Then, at the scene when Judas was about to hung himself, the narrator accidentaly said “Jesus went and hung himself”. But in a matter of seconds he realized he said the wrong name and corrected himself, addig: ” Just checking!:-)” Laughter again….:0) But the here comes the scene of Jesus on the cross:
I think he wanted to say that Jesus was executed, but oh well, accidents happen! :-)The narrator says: “Jesus is expired”
Aren’t you glad that He is never ever gonna be expired! This thought made my day yesterday! And just thought to share with you too hoping that al you have just read will bring a smile on your face as well as make you be soooooooooooooooo thankful to our Father for the donkey taking the right turn in God’ plan and Jesus not hanging Himself up.
